Mixdown Information
Some useful tips for optimum mixdown results:
- On stereo output: If buss compression or
limiting is used, we recommend
a max. gain reduction of 2.0 dB and max. compression ratio of 2.5:1 - On stereo output: No editing of stereo balance/spread or phase
- On Stereo output: No use of fades or gates
- Peak level: Maximum level should be at -3.0 dB, no higher!
- Normalization: Don't normalise the track(s) once the mixdown is complete
- Mixdown resolution: We can handle resolutions from 44.1 kHz to 192 kHz
- Mixdown bit depth: 16-bit, 24-bit or 32 bit depth
- Recommended mixdown bit depth: 24-bit
- File formats: We accepted *.wav, *.aiff or *.bwf
- Delivery: To send it via post, it's best to burn your track(s) on a data disk
- In the case of an audio disk, add 2 to 3 seconds of silence before and after
- Audio disks: Please make sure you use quality audio disks only
- Disk burning: Lower speeds are recommended like 16x, 8x or 4x
- No MP3's for
mastering please, even if MP3 will be the
final format!
